How Do I Assemble My Lighting Fixtures?

All of our lighting fixtures are shipped partially or fully disassembled to ensure safe and efficient shipping. Detailed instructions come with all fixtures, and we try to make the assembly process as easy as possible.

It helps to have a clean workspace, and to set all the parts in an orderly fashion on a countertop so that you can find them at a glance. Be sure to have any required tools (specified in the instructions) ready to go from the outset, and keep track of all the small hardware like screws, taking care not to mix them up.

If you’re having issues with assembly, think you may be missing a piece, or aren’t sure about the directions, feel free to get in touch with us for help.

What Kinds of Light Bulbs Can I Use?

Our light fixtures use either the candelabra (E12) socket, or a standard (A19) socket. With a few of our fixtures, certain lights on the fixture use one bulb while other lights will use the other.

The maximum recommended wattage will vary for each lighting piece, but is usually either 40 or 60 watts. There is no minimum recommended wattage, so you may use fluorescent (CFL) or LED bulbs if you wish.

We recommend using bulbs with a warmer color temperature, such as “soft white” or ideally even warmer than that. These bulbs give off a pleasant orange hue that resembles candlelight. Look for a color temperature number no higher than 3000K.

If you plan to connect one of our fixtures to a dimmer control, and also plan to use CFL or LED bulbs, make sure you get a bulb that is rated for dimming.
